General Projects is delighted to have been selected by Southwark Council to lead the restoration and reinvention of the iconic Walworth Town Hall into a new creative workspace, community and educational hub. The first phase of engagement is starting now and will continue through the summer into the autumn. There are a range of ways you can give your views to feed into the design of the community space. You can:
- Give you thoughts on line here
- Visit us at the Walworth Town Hall memorial garden on July 23rd from 4-7 pm to talk with General Projects
- Join us at our big event in the former Newington Library located at 155 Walworth Road, SE17 1RS on September 3rd between 12pm and 8pm
- Speak to one of the street outreach team who will be out in the community on different days in the coming months. The phase 1 outreach will take place on the following dates
- Monday June 17
- Saturday June 22
- Saturday June 29
- Thursday July 18
- Saturday July 20
We are really excited about the outreach programme as this allows us to hear the ideas of people who may not be familiar with the project. We are hoping that most of you will be able to join one of the events or partake in the online survey. We are very pleased that the outreach interviews will be led by specially trained local young people, part of the amazing Southwark Young Advisors. They will be supported by engagement specialists from Kaizen. Keep an eye out for members of the outreach team and if you see them do go and say hi and have a chat.
If you would like to share your ideas with us please drop us a line at General@GeneralProjects.com.
